Viator, GetYourGuide, Civitatis or Direct: The Honest Guide to Paragliding in Morocco

Viator, GetYourGuide, Civitatis or Direct: The Honest Guide to Paragliding in Morocco

Viator, GetYourGuide and Civitatis are the activity platforms most used by travellers to Morocco. All three can show you paragliding flights, but none of them operates them.

This guide explains what each one offers, what they have in common and what changes when you book directly with the club that operates the flight.

Viator

Viator is very popular with English-speaking travellers, especially from the United States and the United Kingdom. It has a huge range of activities and reviews from travellers from many countries.

Like the others, it charges the operator a commission on every booking.

GetYourGuide

GetYourGuide is widely used in Europe. Its app is convenient and lets you book at the last minute from your phone.

Here too there is a commission, which is usually reflected in the final price shown.

Civitatis

Civitatis is the main platform for many travellers from Spain and Latin America, entirely in Spanish.

The model is similar: it publishes activities from local operators and receives a commission on each booking.

What they have in common

All three platforms make it easy to discover activities and compare reviews, and all three work with local operators. None of them has its own pilots.

This means that wherever you book, the flight is operated by a local club or pilot. The difference lies in price, flexibility and contact.

Booking directly with the club

On parapente.ma you pay the club price, with no commission: from 600 MAD (about €60) per person.

You talk to the pilot on WhatsApp, change the date for free if the weather is not right or your plans change, and some flights include photos and video at no extra cost.

How to decide

Platforms are useful for discovering activities and reading reviews. Booking directly is better for price, flexibility and personal service.

A good approach: compare on the platforms, check the reviews on Google and book with the local operator.

What to check in any case

Wherever you book, find out what is included in the price, how long the flight lasts in the air, whether transport is included, what happens if the weather is bad and whether the pilot is experienced and insured.

A serious operator will answer all of this clearly and without pressure.

Book with the local club

Price without commission, an experienced pilot and direct contact on WhatsApp.

Choose my flight

Conclusion: Viator, GetYourGuide and Civitatis are good for comparing; if you want to pay less and have more flexibility, book directly.
