Every time you book an activity through a platform, part of your money does not reach the people who organise it: it is the platform's commission. Paragliding in Marrakech is no different.
The good news is that you can avoid it by booking directly with the club. We explain how it works, what the flight costs without an intermediary and what you gain.
What the platform commission is
GetYourGuide, Viator and other platforms charge the operator a percentage of each booking, often around 20-30%. So as not to lose money on every sale, operators usually raise the price on the platform.
In the end it is the traveller who pays that commission, even though it does not appear as a separate line on the receipt.
What the flight costs when you book directly
On parapente.ma you pay the club's price. The standard flight costs 600 MAD (about €60), the sunset flight 700 MAD, the premium flight with transport 800 MAD and the longer discovery flight 1200 MAD.
These are prices per person, with no commission. On each flight's page you can see them in your currency.
What stays the same: the flight
The flight is the same kind of experience: an experienced tandem pilot, certified equipment and the flying zones near Marrakech, such as Aguergour, with its take-off at 1400 m and views of the Atlas.
What changes is where your money goes: without an intermediary, it goes straight to the person who flies with you.
What you gain on top of the price
When you book directly, you talk to the pilot on WhatsApp before the flight, get immediate answers and can change the date for free if the weather is not right or your plans change. You can also cancel for free up to 24 hours before.

How much a group saves
The commission is charged per person. The bigger the group, the more booking directly pays off: for a couple, a family or a group of friends, the difference can be the price of an extra flight.
